Fraser's Hill
Brief History:
Fraser's Hill derives its name from Louis James Fraser, a solitary Scottish pioneer, who set up a tin-ore trading post in the 1890s.[3][4] The British army had not explored the Titiwangsa Range, so Fraser recruited guides and coolies for an expedition to the upper ridges, prospecting for gold or other valuable metals. At the top he found an ancient forest of moss-draped trees and ferns with a prehistoric appearance, kept constantly moist in the cloud layer.

Singapore Garden Festival
Ah, its finally over! The biannual garden show featuring amazing landscape and fantasy gardens as well as dazzling flower arrangements is finally over.
It took almost a week to get all the displays up as well as tonnes of manpower to get the whole show ready on time. That kind of explains why the abscence of butterfly photos :P Having said that, I do hope that the upcoming trip to Fraser's Hill would be a good one, to catch up with the lack of shooting.
Back to the Singapore Garden Festival ... The splash of colours of the orchids are indeed mesmerizing, never have I seen such a variety of orchids in my life! There are some one of a kind as
Murder in the name of Art?
Hi all, I'm just going to share some sad news of butterflies being killed en masse to be displayed as art work. FX Harsono's work is to depict the powerful and the powerless in Indonesia. He has certainly proved his point by killing so many butterflies for his work, for recognition.
Is this necessary? I'm sure that using paper cut outs of butterflies would make his point as significant.
Members of ButterflyCircle, a local butterfly interest community, has stepped forth to contacting Singapore Arts Museum (SAM) regarding the matter, as well as to urge SAM to remove the display. The FX Harsono's display of cruelty is not only disgusting, but
Butterfly Book Prints
I've uploaded most of the shots that I will be submitting to a local butterfly book project. I'm not sure how the quality of the dA prints are. But I'm sure that they do a good job at printing. I'am quite tempted to actually buy one of those prints with the frame, but the price is kind of out of my budget.
Well I hope you guys enjoy viewing the prints as much as I took to photograph them. :)
